Character And Story Details Revealed For Upcoming FMV Game Death Come True

Earlier this week, more information came to light regarding Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka’s new project: Death Come TrueCharacter And Story Details Revealed For Upcoming FMV Game Death Come True.
Death Come True is a full-motion video (FMV) game where players have to make choices for the characters.
The game was first teased with a website hiding the faces of six characters, plus a creepy figure wearing a black cloak that resembles the Grim Reaper. The first character and protagonist, Makoto Karaki, was revealed first.
Karaki is portrayed by Kanata Hongo, an actor who has had roles in several live-action adaptations. Besides from appearances in Attack on TitanGANTZ, and Inuyashiki, he played the protagonist Makoto Naegi in the Danganronpa stage play.
More details were also revealed concerning the game’s plot. Death Come True is an adventure game where the player’s actions drive the story.
The story is set in a hotel. The main character, Karaki, is wanted in connection with a series of murders. Karaki has lost his movies. He developed the ability to “Time Leap” when he dies and return to the past. While Karaki is being chased, he has doubts and trouble believing others and himself. As the story unfolds, players will learn his true identity.
According to his official character introduction, Karaki awakes in a hotel with his memories gone. He doesn’t remember who he is or why he’s in the hotel. He learns from a tv news broadcast that he’s being accused of being a serial killer.
The news release also states this is Japan’s first “interactive content” that combines video games and movies. It appears it will have major differences from a visual novel or other interactive games players have experienced in the past.
For those who are inexperienced with FMV games, they use real actors and actresses. The performers film small video clips. Depending on the player’s choices, different clips will play. Death Come True will feature different routes and multiple endings. There will be plenty of replay value for those who enjoy the game.
The next cast member will be revealed on Friday, December 13. It is not known which character will be announced next. According to the plot, it’s likely all of the characters will be tied to the hotel in some manner.
Death Come True’s official release date was not revealed, but it was confirmed that game is coming out in 2020.

Campo Santo’s “In the Valley of Gods” Officially Put On Hold In Favor Of Other Valve Projects

It wasn’t too long ago that Campo Santo took the gaming scene by storm with Firewatch, their beautiful story-based game. Since then, fans have been looking forward to their next big release. Campo Santo's "In the Valley of Gods" Officially Put On Hold In Favor Of Other Valve Projects.
That release was supposed to be In the Valley of Gods, another single-player first-person adventure game similar to Firewatch. This installment would be based in a remote, ancient valley deep in the Egyptian desert. Players would risk their lives to uncover treasure while pursuing a discovery that would bring them riches and fame. There would be mechanics focused on building a relationship with Zora, your companion throughout the game, as well as implementing mechanics that made use of an authentic 35mm film camera to document the story as it unfolded.
Fans of Campo Santo began to feel hesitant after a while went with no news, especially once Valve acquired the studio in 2018. Many took the announcement of Half-Life: Alyx to be the death knell of In the Valley of Gods, as much of the Campo Santo team was working on that game.
Suspicions were confirmed today, as Campo Santo co-founder Jake Rodkin announced in an interview with Polygon that those holding hesitations were correct.
“To fans looking forward to In the Valley of Gods, it’s probably clear that the optimistic ‘2019’ at the end of the announcement trailer isn’t going to be accurate. In the end, Valve Time makes fools of us all,” the co-founder spoke in the announcement. “But yes, developers from the former Campo Santo team have joined other projects at Valve, including Half-Life: Alyx.”
There are a number of worrying factors here, but a few good hints as well. Speaking of the good first, Rodkin makes it seem that In the Valley of Gods is still very much on the table. While it will undoubtedly be delayed, Rodkin at least acknowledges said setbacks instead of marking the game as canceled or scrapped.
But in terms of the bad, where does this leave the Campo Santo team? Half-Life: Alyx is only one of the projects mentioned, but Rodkin makes it seem as if there are many others. Once work on one project is done, it’s highly unlikely that they’ll simply retrace their steps and pick up In the Valley of Gods right from where it was.
Rodkin finishes his statement with a somewhat-positive message on the game: “In the Valley of Gods development is on hold – but it certainly feels like a project people can and may return to.”

KUWK: Khloe Kardashian Explains Why She Wants Tristan Thompson In Her Life In Emotional Rant

Amid a lot of backlash from fans, Khloe Kardashian took to social media to post a long letter in which she explained why she’s letting Tristan Thompson back into her life! It’s no secret that most of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians viewers would rather have the basketball player as far away from his ex as possible since he’s hurt her twice. KUWK: Khloe Kardashian Explains Why She Wants Tristan Thompson In Her Life In Emotional Rant
But Khloe just wanted to let people know why she doesn’t agree with the hate Tristan has been getting for cheating on her on two separate occasions.
She started by saying that ‘I don’t hold any negative or hateful feelings towards ANYONE! We are all humans trying to figure out this thing called life. Who am I to condemn anyone else? Yes, I’m allowed to feel hurt and pain. It would be unnatural for me to pretend as if I don’t. Personally, I don’t want to be carrying around a hateful heart. I crave peace in my life. Me holding onto hate is going to hurt me in the end.’
Khloe has been taking the high road ever since the first time Tristan was unfaithful just days before giving birth to their daughter, True and this is also what she wrote on her platform: ‘I have chosen to not pollute my heart and my energy by holding onto anything negative. I am allowed to forgive. Forgiveness is actually a strength and not a weakness. I am allowed to forgive people but still not accept their behaviors. I’m also allowed to protect my space. I am allowed to choose who I want in my life and who I do not.’
The KUWK star and mother of one then stressed that she really means when she wishes people well and that she should be allowed to do it in peace, without criticism from anyone.
At the same time, she also argued that wanting the best for someone doesn’t necessarily have to mean she wants to be their best friend!
It sounds like this rant was for the fans criticizing her and her ex just as much as it was for Tristan so that he understands she wishes him well and has no hate in her heart towards him anymore but also doesn’t want him back.
